Welcome to the forums of the Blades of Legend! I am the "leader" of the Blades, but I really don't care for formal titles. The Blades of Legend is a very casual guild, no strict "must play for X amount of hours" or "must help out on so many quests" kind. What I am striving for is to have a guild where people DO help each other out, but mainly just a safe, friendly place in the world of La Tale, as I know many MMORPGs have large amounts of areas and characters that aren't the most respectful. Basically I am looking for members that will be nice and respectful, not only to each other in the guild, but in the game completely, and will also help out new players that have questions as well.
There is no level requirement to join, I am not looking for an "elite level" guild...in a sense. My perfect world scenario is this: players find this guild early, and like the casual atmosphere so much that they stay through their time in the game. Then, as new, lower level players join up, we have the experience in the game to help them to figure out the workings of the game. The lower levels appreciate our kindness so much that THEY stay, and therefore, we become not only a high-level guild, but a high-level guild WITHOUT the stuffiness that normal high level players have, where they "don't have time for n00bs" or whatever. I hope our guild never forgets that we ALL start as new players, no matter what some people say.
That being said, there are a couple little rules that I do have, but it's nothing too serious:
1) Be respectful at all times, both inside the guild and to others outside the Blades. Please remember that I am aiming to create a friendly guild and safe place for players to enjoy the game; a place that people outside the guild can see and say, "Yeah, I know the Blades of Legend guild, they're good guys." I will warn you if I notice it, and repeated incidents will result in removal from the guild.
2) Along the same lines, please refrain from vulgar language. I understand that we're all not kids (I know I'm not!), and a little cursing isn't terrible, but nasty, vulgar talk won't be tolerated, and the same "warn, warn, remove" policy will be in place.
3) No begging for items or money. This is one of the most annoying things that happen in a MMORPG. If a member decides to help you out with equipment or Ely, that is wonderful, but PLEASE don't expect it. It's not too hard to come across Ely; almost every monster drops items that are Miscellaneous and can be sold for a pretty good penny. ::Broken record alert:: you will be warned, and then it's "so long" if it keeps going.
4) Not really a rule, but something I really care about: inside the guild, please be patient of new players and respectful to everyone. I know that having to answer a bunch of questions can be trying, and if I am on and educated enough to know the answers to the questions, feel completely free to send them my way and I will help them, but please try your best to help each of us to go on. A guild is only as good as the average of great players and players who need some help, so the less players that need help, the better our guild will be! Nobody is required to help out each other in quests, but if you can help, that's awesome. Remember how it goes, though: you tend to RECIEVE as much help as you GIVE.
There, that's my rule rant. The shortened version of the rules is: Be respectful, use kind language, no begging, try to help. Please everyone, I am not a mean person, don't make me have to be a mean person. I really hate punting people, but if there's someone messing up the mojo in the guild, I will do it if I must. Also, there's not a "3 strike" policy, as I know that you can fix things, and then slip a while down the line. I won't have a long memory about things that happen. To repeat myself, I am a super, super nice person that hates to have to "crack the whip", so if this goes as I hope it will, everything's gonna ROCK!
Thanks for your time reading this...as usual, I tend to type longer than I plan on. If a casual, friendly guild with no strict rules on retaining membership appeals to you, please apply down by the Recruitment Hall. Thanks again, and I'll see you in La Tale!
May your blades stay sharp!
